If travelling by Train on the East Coast mainline, weekday tickets are available 5 months in advance, and weekend 12 weeks in advance, You can sign up for alerts here
Do note a bus will be put on to transport people to Skipbridge after the ceremony, please acknowledge in the RSVP if you want a ticket on board!
Travelling on the day
Parking
Parking in York can be a bit tricky so do allow a bit of time.
The nearest available parking is Fossbank car park, here is a list of all car parks and prices near to Bedern Hall. We'd recommend being parked at 10:30 and returning at 13:00.
Parking is available at Skipbridge for the reception
Trains
- North East… The 09:23 from Durham arrives into York at 10:14.
- London… The 08:11 from Kings Cross arrives into York at 10:10.
- Leeds… The 09:13 from Leeds arrives into York at 09:51.
- Hull … The 09:03 from Hull arrives into York at 10:11.
It is a 16 minute walk from the station to the venue.

For the full country wedding experience, and to see us hungover the next day, Skipbridge do offer glamping on site at £100 per night which includes breakfast.

If you are staying both nights York would be an ideal location, alternatively the area around Skipbridge has some B&B's nearby and it is in easy reach of Knaresbourgh, Wetherby, Harrogate as well as York.
